A very warm welcome to everybody associated with this year’s event which is hard to believe we are in year 4 of this fantastic event, below is an initial press release highlighting the key points and information for the rally weekend, the team have been working very hard behind the scenes not only with the organising of Mach 1 but assisting other clubs in the organising and set up of their events.

Competitors

Regulations for this year’s event will be emailed out to all registered competitors and also available for download on Dunfermline Car clubs website www.dunfermlinecarclub.co.uk on Tuesday 23rd May 2017.
The entries open at www.dunfermlinecarclub.co.uk at 7 pm on Sunday 4th June 2017 and will close for seeding on the 30th June, Finals and seeded entry list will be available on the 9th July 2017.
The MSA permit has been approved by the MSA and this year sees entries available for up to 120 cars, increased stage mileage this year and a return of some favourite stages, we are bringing back the popular “all the way round “stage with added mileage into the bargain.
We will be having a slightly earlier start on the Saturday after listening to feedback from 2016 of 11am.
There will also be toilet facilities within the service area as well as rally HQ and the toilet block at the catering area.
Tyre vans will also be in attendance in the form of Wheels Around and Andrew Wood Motorsport.

Attractions/suppliers/catering

Catering will be provided yet again by Argyll Bakeries while Coast Coffee who will be selling speciality Teas and Coffees along with tasty confectionary and home baking with this year the popular big Paella dish by the guys at Coast Coffee along with hot chocolates and milk shakes. 
We will also have the Saturday evening social in the officer’s mess with a carvery and bar courtesy of Argyll Bakeries with the carvery staying the same price as 2016 at £7.50 per person, opening times will be 6pm till late on the Saturday but on the Friday, Argyll Bakeries will be serving hot and cold food from lunchtime on the Friday for all you hungry folks travelling for Friday scrutineering..
Back by popular demand is the static car display for any Rally crews who wish to attend on the Friday evening in Campbeltown at the ferry terminal, anybody wishing to display their cars please can you make contact by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. Assistance
As always with this sport run by volunteers and as such we are looking for assistance in setting up the venue from 10am on Tuesday 11th till 6pm on Friday 14th if you can assist then please contact our Set-Up Co-ordinator Gus Duncan on This email address is being protected from spambots. Spectators
This year’s spectator entry will cost £5 per person on Saturday which includes FREE entry on Sunday, this is again on the back of feedback from 2016 and access will be via the West Park Fergus gate, spectators are to follow the green arrows which will be positioned at key points to direct the traffic throughout the town.
Spectator viewing will again be similar to previous years however we have amended the routes to ensure the spectators see more of the action, with splits/merges/start and finish all within easy view of the spectator area this will provide some great action for all.
